Founded in mid-2006, Salem A.G. Dubai has blossomed into a thriving congregation, blessed by the grace of the Almighty. Through spiritual activities such as fellowship gatherings, Bible classes, fasting prayers, and all-night prayers, we have nurtured our faith and rooted ourselves deeply in Christ. Gradually, God began to multiply our church, and many accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. They were baptized in the name of God the Father, His Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit, joining our church and dedicating their lives to Jesus Christ.
What began as a small group has rapidly grown, and today, Salem A.G. Church Dubai stands as one of the most prominent Malayalam Pentecostal churches in the country. We are a member of Holy Trinity Church, Dubai, and worship within the same compound. Our primary activity is the Sunday worship service, which provides a wonderful opportunity for Christian fellowship and collective worship. These services are thoughtfully organized to encourage active participation from all attendees, aiming to foster the spiritual growth of everyone involved. In addition to our main Sunday worship, we offer area meetings on Tuesdays and a worship service on Friday evenings. On the first Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of each month, we hold a monthly fasting prayer. Our church also actively engages in a variety of other activities, including Sunday School, Christ’s Ambassadors (CA), and the Women’s Missionary Council (WMC).
Our mission is to reach the unreached and save the unsaved in this generation. We welcome people from all walks of life to join us in worshiping the Lord. We look forward to helping you and your family grow stronger in Christ, and we promise to make you feel right at home.
Salem A.G. Dubai is led by Pr. Zachariah Abraham (Sabu) as the Church President and Pr. Boban Babu as the Pastor-In-Charge.
We warmly invite you to join us in our worship and activities and become a part of our growing family

It is with great joy and warmth that we introduce you to our founding pastor, Zachariah Abraham, affectionately known as Sabu. Born on December 8, 1958, to the late Mr. K.Z. Abraham and Mrs. Mariamma Abraham, Zachariah’s life has been a remarkable testament to faith and perseverance. Though his early years began in the peaceful village of Pullad, Thiruvalla, his family’s move to Pathanapuram in Quilon district in 1963 set the stage for a journey of both trials and triumphs. His father’s prosperous business provided a happy childhood until 1972, when the business loss marked the beginning of challenging times.
The passing of his father in 1974 and later his mother in 2001 were profound sorrows in his life.
In his youth, Zachariah lived a life deeply immersed in worldly pursuits, neglecting both his education and health. In 1976, he was struck by a severe illness, and the doctors informed him that he had only a few days to live. Yet, through God’s grace, he was delivered from this dire fate. At the time, Zachariah did not fully grasp the divine intervention, and he continued on his wayward path for several more months.
However, in 1977, during a Marthomite convention, he experienced a profound spiritual awakening. It was there that he accepted the Lord as his personal Savior and began a transformative new chapter in his life. Despite facing significant challenges and opposition from his family, Zachariah remained steadfast in his faith and was filled with the Holy Spirit by December 1977.
His journey then took him to Bombay, where he joined the Andheri Assembly of God Church in 1978 and was baptized on January 26, 1981. His passion for evangelism grew, and he devoted his time to Gospel work along with his regular work.
In February 1983, Zachariah’s path led him to Abu Dhabi, where he worked in a remote desert area with Zakum Construction. His commitment to his faith remained strong as he transitioned to Sharjah in 1984. On October 5, 1985, he married Sally, a steadfast supporter of his ministry. Together, they began their family life in Sharjah. During this time they attended services at Church of God, Sharjah and along with few others were inspired by God to establish the Assemblies of God Church there in 1986.
Sally, the youngest daughter of O.M. Varghese and Marykutty Varghese, had a close-knit upbringing with her older siblings, as she lost her parents at a young age. After completing her Pre-degree, she left Kerala in search of new opportunities. Sally spent an impressive 33 years working in various companies across the UAE, ultimately retiring as a Senior Procurement Officer in 2019.
Her passion for service continues to shine through her active involvement in the church. Sally is a pillar of support for the congregation, always ready to offer prayers, encouragement, and a warm smile. She also dedicates time to the Kids' Ministry, where her kindness and nurturing spirit make a positive impact on the younger members of the church.
Zachariah and Sally are blessed with three children—two daughters and a son—who are all married, as well as two beloved grandchildren. In 1990, Zachariah received a position with the Government of Dubai, working with the Ruler’s Office until 2014. Throughout these years, he supported Pr. Jacob Varghese, Sr. Pastor of Sharjah Salem AG, and in 2006, he founded Salem Assemblies of God Church in Dubai.
Today, Pr. Zachariah Abraham stands as a beacon of faith and dedication, having been honored with an ordination certificate from the Assemblies of God Malayalam District Council. His life is a powerful testament to the transformative power of the Gospel of grace and a reminder of the profound impact of following God’s call.
Pastor Boban Babu was born on July 17, 1977, to Mr. Philipose Babu and Mrs. Mollykutty Babu in a devout Pentecostal family in Kalanjoor, Pathanamthitta District. From an early age, Pastor Boban felt the call of God on his life. At just 12 years old, on December 10, 1989, he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. By the age of 15, on November 21, 1992, he was filled with the Holy Spirit and followed the Lord in Water Baptism just days later, on November 29, 1992.
Pastor Boban has been actively involved in the ministry from a young age, taking on various responsibilities such as Sunday School Teacher, YPE Secretary, Sunday School District Secretary, and YPE District Secretary and Treasurer under the Church of God in India (Full Gospel).
While pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce degree, Pastor Boban initially planned to embark on a career in business. However, God's plan for his life was different. In 2003, he was diagnosed with stage four cancer. It was during this challenging time that he surrendered to God's call for ministry. After his decision, God miraculously healed him completely, and he then pursued theological studies, earning his M.Div. from Bethel Bible College, Punalur, and New Life Biblical Seminary, Cheruvakkal, Aayoor.
Following his studies, Pastor Boban joined Calvary Ministries in India, Pathanapuram, to begin his ministry. In 2008, he moved to Bangalore, serving as an Evangelist with Sharon Assembly of God Church, Jalahalli. Four years later, in 2012, God led him to Dubai, where he worked as an accountant while also serving in ministry with Immanuel AG Church, Dubai. Since 2019, Pastor Boban has been serving as the Pastor of Salem AG Church in Dubai, and he is currently pursuing further theological studies (M.Th) at Worship Center College of Theology, Sharjah.
On September 14, 2006, Pastor Boban married Metcy Skariah, who worked as a Registered Nurse for several years before joining him in full-time ministry. They are blessed with a daughter, Jochebed, who is currently in 12th grade.
